Hey!
It's been really really long...
Gomen ne! I've been busy.
Here's a quick summary...

For the whole of last month, I probably spent most of my time in school with the greatest bunch
of people:

Whether it's skipping lessons to go to the library (to play).
Whether it's rushing through projects with each other (and even trading projects).
Whether it's pondering which lessons we should skip.
Whether it's wondering if we'll ever gonna make it again this sem (we always did that!).
Whether it's spotting kawaii girls.
Whether it's going to the cinema to watch a new movie (during our breaks).

I kinda missed all that..
I'm sure it will all be a good memory for us when we graduate in a year and a half's time.

Had my chalet from Wednesday till today.
Can't help but notice I actually got to know more about my classmates ever since we had that
meaningful talk at night. Haha!

I've been shopping alot lately. Mostly window shopping but it's still a form of shopping though.
Shyo-pingu wa dai suki desu!!!! I love it haha!
Went shopping today and couldn't seem to pick out anything nice.
Maybe I visited town too often! Hmm hmm...

And yes, FINALLY after so long, I've finally started learning the piano.
Let's hope I don't give up on it, ne!!!!! Hontou ni!!! I don't want history to repeat itself.
I have always been the type to do things halfway through and give it up totally. =(

Maybe I get bored too easily. Haha (sad laugh..)

Something random to think about:

In philosophy and logic, the liar paradox encompasses paradoxical statements such as "This sentence is false." or "The next sentence is false. The previous sentence is true." What has everyone been up to lately?

I'm adapting to the loneliness already. I haven't called anyone in over a week. When I wasn't used to it, I would randomly call someone up to keep me company. Gomen ne!

Ever the optimist, I've decided that loneliness can be a good thing for me. By the time I've spent an entire yasumi alone, doing whateverelse, I am eager to get back to school. Not just because I love tennis, but because I am simply happy to be around people again. I don't like yasumi much. I'd rather rush through my projects. I can handle it. ha ha HA. ha.

Speaking of loneliness, I ran into char on my way home. It's been awhile, ne?

Subject 19: Circuit slope

I'm so happy I'm smiling as I am typing this.
Minnasan! Today I did something right ... I think. Had my driving lessons today and finally realised that I was at subject 19: Circuit Slope. . The look on my face said "Oh my god ... what's gonna happen?" I was worried myself cos I hate driving up slopes. My heart was pounding so hard it was about to jump out of my chest and take the shinkansen far faraway from Shibuya ... or maybe swim to Okinawa or something ... I don't know.
Anyway, after everything was over my instructor said,"good job! See, you had nothing to worry about, ne~"
Although he was probably talking to himself as well as me.
I think I did okay but I want to be better better better BETTER!!!

Honto ni gomen!!! Its been too long ...

I wanted to write and let you all know that I am still alive. haha!
I'm not really sure what to write about ... hmmmm...
hmmmmm ....

Last week, I went to orchard and got my tennis grip done! Kenneth got me a very nice discount!
I think my current grip is the best! I am sooooo HAPPY!!

I was wrong when I thought this month was going to be slow. I've been working everday on my weekends last week!!! And still had to study for common tests and rush through my projects!
Time really flies fast!

The weather has been pretty nice lately, ne?
Especially since I am still having my holidays now.
Maybe I should head down to the beach???
Or take a boat ride down the Singapore River. How nostalgic!

Its a bit strange to have a few days off in the middle of the week because Im used to schooling straight through. But luckily the week started off really busy so I'm happy to have extra days of rest and fun =D.

Anyway, it’s so important to stay inspired. I saw something recently that made me say to myself, “I really have to work harder.” But I didn’t feel bad about myself or inadequate. I became excited about challenging myself. Refueling.
I’ve never had the goal to be better than anyone else. My ambition is to be the best that I can be for myself. It’s fair, isn’t it?

If someone earnestly works hard on a skill or ability, they’ll inevitably improve, right? This doesn’t apply to everything though. If you are 97 years old and suddenly decide that you want to become a professional runner and race in the Olympics that might be a little difficult or like play soccer in the next World Cup or something. God, you’ll be like 101 by then.

In that case it might be wise to have a “plan B,”… something slightly more feasible. Like walking to the convenience store and buying me a soda. Jyasuto jyoukingu dayo =).

So, minna, whatever your goals are,lets work hard together. GANBAROU!! Ouenshite kudasaaaaaiiiiii~~~~mata ne!

Minna GENKI?!?!

I had a chat with my mum today... she asked me this question, "What are my goals for the future?" Why do I always feel embarrassed when I'm asked this question? I never answer it. I have goals, but I'd rather show what they are, than say them. Once in my nihongo class, we were asked to write our wish on a piece of paper. I didnt know what to write so I just wrote "mirai." (future) Haha! Please be patient with me ( T_T ').

Had dinner with bh, zk, zc and char at burger king today while discussing about conflict management.
Then we started discussing about how turtles could avoid conflict just by hiding in their shell.

a monday without school

I love taking baths. Recently, it has become a hobby for me.

Anyway! My friend showed me a doubutsu horoscope book the other day. I am a "sophisticated tanuki." My friend translated my description for me. Quite a few things it said were correct although I think many people have the same characteristics. For example it says that when I am attracted to someone I am a coward and too shy to approach the person and tell her how I feel, which is true, but aren't most people the same? I wish I could read this thing. All I can do is look people up and try to guess the description by the drawing of the animal. I should go study kanji or something. Haha!

When I'm not schooling I always like to keep myself busy, but lately, when I have some time off all I do is sleep, sleep in the bath and read... sometimes in the bath too. I love the bath =).

I like kawaii things =].

When I came to NYP, I promised myself that I would never run away from my failures again.
In the past, if I felt like I couldn't succeed at something I would just give up. Sometimes I would give up before I even started. Running away is the easiest way to protect yourself from failure, ne? But its an empty life. Now,more than ever, I realize why I ran away all those times before. ITAI YO!

People say that when you're young its okay to be alittle selfish. I guess its something easily forgiven assuming young people don't know any better. But I can't be selfish anymore. When I go down, I bring a lot of other people down with me and I can't do that. Its not an option for me.
You know, after writing this I feel GENKI again. I guess I just needed to get that out. Anyway, the bright side is that even if I fail, I can fail knowing I did my best. I've said this before but I feel like it's appropriate for right now as well. "I'd rather try and fail than never try at all."
I would lose sleep not knowing what I could have missed. I HATE losing sleep.

Anyway, I really miss my secondary school and MI life. Though I didn't have much memories of them now, I still remember how different I was back then. No one ever believes me when I say I was a big LONER in secondary school. They assume I was popular but truth be told, I remember spending recess by myself in the library or walking around by myself eating a big bag of potato chips (i was a bit heavier back then)... HONTOU NI. I wish I had better memories. People always tell me to "let go of the past." ... I can't, but, strangely, somehow I think those experiences made me a better person. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger, ne?

Today at NYP, I made some very nice memories thanks to everyone. Sugoi yokatta.

Had tennis training today and I tripped and fell in front of a lot of people.
Very embarrassing.
I am mosquito food.
They’ve been attacking my legs all week.
Someone told me that blood O is sweet.
Anyway, today I watched Gedo Senki.I had a very hard time understanding what was going on. I was very confused. I was just watching and then all of a sudden the little girl turned into a dragon. Japan is so confusing. Just kidding!

Hey everyone! Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm very excited to share all of my thoughts and daily adventures with you lol =).

Hajimemashite! m(_ _)m My name is Ruzaini. I'm from Singapore. For the last couple of months I have been struggling as a student in Nanyang Polytechnic. I can't wait to graduate from this school together with all of my fellow NYP friends! I'm working very hard to do well. Hehe as if! =).

Soon I will be serving my National Service after my brief 3 years in NYP! I couldn't be more excited! haha (sad laugh).. Although I'm from Singapore, I have never visited Pulau Ubin before. My life just keeps surprising me. I've been speaking Japanese (horribly .. Nihongo wamuzukashii!!!) for the last 4 months so I'm happy I am at least able to speak my own language lol.
